Let’s get started

Here’s the reading schedule for Social Reading Hugs Europe: join the community on the app Betwyll and dive into the great works of the European literature.

Are you ready to follow Ulysses to the Pillars of Hercules, to praise the greatest Goddess of the Olympus, to take Mambrino’s magical helmet, to wait under your beloved’s balcony, to make a deal with Mephistopheles, to cheat a vain emperor, to fly over Sweden hanging on a wild goose’s neck, to recapture the memories of your childhood through the taste of a piece of cake, to wake up transformed…um… in a huge insect and to finally witness the creation of the world? Well, then, you just have to download Betwyll and meet us all there: your social reading experience is about to start. See you on the app from Monday, 14 February 2022!

How it works

On Betwyll people can read and comment directly from their smartphones on the same texts at the same time by following a shared reading schedule (i.e. a text every two days).

The texts are published onto the app, where participants “meet” to read and discuss them through short messages of 140 characters (twylls), which appear as annotations to the paragraphs. The resulting conversations enrich the reading experience, encouraging deep reading and opening space for further debate.

Download the app from the App Store or Google Play and start to twyll!
